Have a look at the video below for a summary of the night and a brief appearance for More Energy Brunel’s PT Dimitrios Deliopoulos who ran the 5K in an impressive 16 minutes:

Members of More Energy Brunel (MEB) were part of a companywide challenge which encouraged students, staff and public to participate in a treadmill challenge in aid of Cancer Research.
MEB were teamed up with Energy Fitness Professionals other 55 sites to participate in the treadmill challenge, which run over a 2 week period in April 2016. Each site competed against each other in a bid to win the overall furthest distance. Participants logged the kilometres that they ran, jogged or walked and donated or raised individual sponsorship.
MEB are proud to support a charity that has saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Over the past century, researchers have made consistent progress in the fight against cancer, and survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years.
Throughout the 2 week period a total of 39 members took part with a total distance of 437.98k achieved! We are also proud to announce that a total of £120.41 was raised.
Well done to all those that took part!
Employees and members at More Energy Fitness Centres have successfully raised £500.22 for BBC Children in Need, after putting on a spinathon and beat the instructor events to support the 2015 Appeal. The money raised will go on to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
More Energy hosted various fitness events for the members to take part in allowing them to stay active, raise money for a great cause and challenge the instructors to a fitness test. All four More Energy locations (Brunel University, Kingston University, Hayes College and Uxbridge College) took part allowing the student and public members to take part.
More Energy Group Manager Tadie Hampshire said
“We’re overwhelmed with the response we had to our fundraising effort and would like to say a huge thank you to all those who took part! It was great fun supporting BBC Children in Need and to know that we’ve raised over £500 is a fantastic feeling, we’re looking forward to beating that next year”
BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential. It relies on the energy and commitment of thousands of fundraisers and supporters across the UK, who donate their time and money to put on events in support of the Appeal. Whether through cake sales, quizzes or dress ups, every penny of the money raised goes towards supporting projects across the UK.
