Employees and members at More Energy Fitness Centres have successfully raised £500.22 for BBC Children in Need, after putting on a spinathon and beat the instructor events to support the 2015 Appeal. The money raised will go on to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
More Energy hosted various fitness events for the members to take part in allowing them to stay active, raise money for a great cause and challenge the instructors to a fitness test. All four More Energy locations (Brunel University, Kingston University, Hayes College and Uxbridge College) took part allowing the student and public members to take part.
More Energy Group Manager Tadie Hampshire said
“We’re overwhelmed with the response we had to our fundraising effort and would like to say a huge thank you to all those who took part! It was great fun supporting BBC Children in Need and to know that we’ve raised over £500 is a fantastic feeling, we’re looking forward to beating that next year”
BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential. It relies on the energy and commitment of thousands of fundraisers and supporters across the UK, who donate their time and money to put on events in support of the Appeal. Whether through cake sales, quizzes or dress ups, every penny of the money raised goes towards supporting projects across the UK.
